I knew when I first connected with Tori Elizabeth founder of The Colored Girl, that our visual journey would create something special. We immediately vibed over a shared passion of creating art in her images through fusion of fashion and authentic love.
As a traveling wedding photographer, I frequent New York for a lot for my clients – but I had a special feeling about this tirp. In the weeks leading up to their engagement session in Brooklyn, we connected with Seattle based Wedding Dress Designer Elizabeth Dye to showcase a gown form her latest collection “She Comes in Colors“. The gown is called the ‘Big Dress Energy‘ and for good reason. The movement and layering of tulle are mesmerizing to see in person. I knew it was the perfect fit for this shoot and Tori’s spirit.
It was a brisk November morning in New York for the day of our editorial engagement shoot in Brooklyn. But Keegan and Tori’s energy truly illuminated those streets. People were cheering as they walked by and no doubt they stopped some traffic and cars going by in front of the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Arch at Grand Army Plaza.
It came as no surprise that the images from this shoot took the world by storm and were published in Vogue Magazine, The-Anti-bride, A Practical Wedding, MunaLuchi Bride, Rock’nRoll Bride, Brides, B.E. Publishing, Wed Stock Australia, Souls Reconnected and many more.
