Cumberland Island Engagement Session
When Margaret and John approached me about having an engagement session at Cumberland Island, I was eager to set a date. The trip requires some planning in advance, as the National Seashore Park Service has only a limited number of campers per weekend. We arrived on the Cumberland Island Ferry early that Saturday morning and took the day to wander and bond. It’s beautiful and wild and parts still untouched.
After seeing pictures in Atlanta Magazine, Cumberland Island has been on my list for a while. The mysterious ruins of the Dungeness have a hauntingly beautiful presence that inspire me. Margaret’s mother visited the island while she was pregnant with her, so the island has a sentimental value as well. This was an incredible weekend, and honestly I wish I could do adventure engagement sessions with all my couples. It really allows the time and freedom to connect and just have fun. I was able to capture those relaxed in between moments that I love. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding at Neverland Farms in May!
